– This book has come highly recommended, and even though I just started it, I totally see why. It’s a great start to an award-winning trilogy called The Daughters of Boston. I’m so glad my library had it for me to check out.

pg. 77   – Seaside Letters by Denise Hunter

– I’m enjoying this sweet love story set on Nantucket. The backcover makes it clear that our heroine Sabrina knows that our hero Tucker is her “secret” e-mail admirer. But she thinks Tucker has no idea who she is. Wrong! He totally knows, and that’s why he’s hired her to help find his “mystery” e-mail gal. He’s hoping it’ll open her up, and she’ll come clean about who she really is. I’m about a third of the way through the book, and while it’s not a super-fast read, it’s defintiely engaging.

pg. 126   – The Boyfriend Game by Stephie Davis

– I got this book on Paperbackswap, and I confess to reading all 157 pages in one night. It’s a super-cute YA about a girl who loves soccer … and maybe the boy she practices with. It’s fast and easy, and so high school. Not that I’m so into the sports, but this was a really sweet story.

– A gift from my sweet friend Johanna who knows how much I love Abraham Lincoln, Team of Rivals is a study of the political genius of Lincoln. Nearly 900 pages long, this book may look intimidating, but I’m loving the history in this book. And it’s perfect to enjoy a tidbit at time. If you enjoy history, particularly the Civil War, I bet you’ll like this book too.

– I had the pleasure of hearing Debbie Macomber speak at the ACFW conference this year in Denver. And then one day, I randomly ended up at breakfast with her! She’s a lovely woman, very friendly, and such a talented writer and speaker. This book is definitely sweet story of small-town life, and I highly recommend.

– What could be better than a slew of short stories by L.M. Montgomery in one book? Of course, fans know Ms. Montgomery as the author of Anne of Green Gables and the whole series of books about the redheaded orphan on Prince Edward Island. These stories are cute and fun and everything we’ve come to expect from this acclaimed author. So what’s your favorite book by L.M. Montgomery? – In this sweet book from Steeple Hill’s Love Inspired Historical line, Lucie McNeil is haunted by memories of tragedy back in Ireland. I do love a good Cinderella story, and what fairy tale would be complete without a handsome prince? Happily Ever Afters abound in this cute book. I love it!

– Big shocker, this is a Christmas book. Actually it’s two stories in one book that was only $3.50 at Walmart. 🙂 I love a good deal and sweet stories. I hope you find some great Christmas reads this year!
