Hi! I’m Liz Johnson–your host for stop #15. I write contemporary romance set in some of my favorite spots in the world. You can find out more about my books here on my website. I love to connect with readers on social media on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

My current series is a split time romance set on the Georgia Coast. A Glitter of Gold is set in Savannah, a city that loves stories. And this book is about stories–the ones that are true and the ones that we believe anyway. Here’s more about it:

Anne Norris moved to Savannah, Georgia, for a fresh start. Now her pirate-tour business is flagging, and paying the rent requires more than wishful thinking. When she discovers evidence of a shipwreck off the coast of Tybee Island, she takes her findings to local museum director Carter Hale for confirmation, but she runs after a disastrous first meeting.

Carter has been searching for the location of the wreck detailed in the worn pages of an 18th-century diary, the discovery of which could open the door to his dream job at a prestigious museum. But convincing Anne to help him fill in the missing pieces of the puzzle is no easy task. And working with Carter means that Anne will have to do the one thing she swore she’d never do again: trust a man. If they can find the lost ship, they may discover a treasure worth more than all the pirate gold in the world–love.

Peek Into My Research Trip

I loved visiting Savannah to research the city and the stories I wanted to share. Here’s a few fun pictures from the trip with my mom.

We started out taking a tour of Forsyth Park and visiting Savannah’s famous fountain.

Then we were off to Tybee Island and a tour of the modern lighthouse–which plays an important role in the book–and a view of North Beach–where Anne finds a life-changing treasure.

Savannah’s Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum is the inspiration beyond the Savannah Maritime Museum in A Glitter of Gold.

And, of course, we couldn’t miss out on hearing the pirate stories that Anne tells when she leads pirate tours. Eric of Charleston Pirate Tours didn’t disappoint.
