MizB of Should Be Reading hosts the Teaser Tuesdays weekly event
Here are the rules:
* Grab your current read
* Let the book fall open to a random page
* Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12
*You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
* Please avoid spoilers!
This week’s teaser is:
“It was no wonder, therefore, that we positively jumped when a thunderous knock crashed against the front door and re-echoed through the house. Had Mr. Malcolm MacPherson dropped from the skies?”
pg. 112 – Chronicles of Avonlea by L.M. Montgomery in Aunt Olivia’s Beau
– What could be better than a slew of short stories by L.M. Montgomery in one book? Of course, fans know Ms. Montgomery as the author of Anne of Green Gables and the whole series of books about the redheaded orphan on Prince Edward Island. These stories are cute and fun and everything we’ve come to expect from this acclaimed author. So what’s your favorite book by L.M. Montgomery? Haven’t ever read a book by Montgomery? This is your chance to confess! 🙂
Oh my, how to pick…I had almost all of her books when I was younger. Love “The Blue Castle” and “A Tangled Web”. I should pull some of these out and re-read.
Awww, love it!
